Fit For Fun (F3) Walking Club

Venue: Piedmont Park; Charles Allen Drive and 10th Street, Midtown
Info: The Health and Wellness Task Force is pleased to introduce Fit For Fun (F3), AULYP’s new walk/run club. The creation of Fit for Fun helps AULYP further align itself with the health objectives of the National Urban League. The club targets members at all fitness levels, so there is currently no pre-determined distance members will be expected to walk. The initial goal is for participants to walk at least 30 minutes. As endurance levels increase, time and distance may increase as well. Bring the entire family, as there is an area for children to ride bikes and skate. Fit For Fun is being lead by yoga instructor and AULYP member, Lakisha Simmons. Voter Registration Drive

Info: Since last year the Political Awareness Committee has canvassed at local festivals and events, registering more than 200 voters in the process. See to it that more young people are engaged in the process by providing assistance or referring someone who is not registered. E-mail: political@aulyp.com
